In 1985 Class 116 DMU sets 116 392 + 116 388 wait to leave Largs with 2T20 the 10.52 to Glasgow Central. This once four platform station had by this date already been reduced to 2 and the DMU's were replaced by class 318 EMU's with electrification in 1986. Adrian Nicholls.

Frosty. Derby 116 393 rolls into Glengarnock station on a working to Glasgow Central, probably from Largs. Glengarnock was generally served by the hourly Largs services.
