Tyseley's dmu set T315 (power cars presumably 51352 + 51394) ticking over at the south end of Walsall station sometime in 1991. At this time passenger services north of the station ran only to Hednesford on what is now called the Chase Line. By 1991 the original South Staffordshire Railway buildings had been demolished on the left and the later interesting round booking hall behind right had been replaced by new department store over the tracks. A pair of two-car 117s at Edinburgh (Waverley) on 12/10/99, 117 311 (presumably 51352 + 51376) nearer and 117 308 (presumably 51413 + 51371) further away on the 10.20 to Cowdenbeath. The Haymarket 117s had their centre cars removed to reduce weight in an attempt to improve their reliability, but this was not a success and they were withdrawn soon after this photo was taken. On 21 July 1979 the RCTS and Southern Electric Group "Marchwood Volunteer No. 2" railtour is seen at Bedenham Siding. Set L416 was formed 51353 + 59505 + 51395 all in "blue band" livery. This set, built by Pressed Steel in 1960, ended its life in Scotland in the 1990s. Jeremy Chapter.
