This negative was just marked Coalfields Farm. Class 118 vehicles 51324 + 59427 + 51309 were TS630 from May 1986 to October 1987. The Six Bells Junction website notes the set working from Coalville Depot open day to Mantle Lane and Coalfields Farm in 1 June 1986. Stuart Mackay Collection.
A Class 118 dmu set passes Wilmcote on 8 June 1986. I was waiting for "Jubilee" 4-6-0 no 5593, and I think most of the others on the platform were waiting to see the same train. It is Tyseley set TS632, presumably 51323 + 59475 + 51308. Lewis Bevan.
Seen at Langley Green in 1986 is Tyseley's class 118 set T632 (presumably 51323 + 59475 + 51308) pictured pulling away from the stop in the station heading for Birmingham New Street with a train from Worcester. The signalman has wasted no time in returning his inner home to signal to danger. Peter Tandy.
Barnt Green station is the junction on the main Birmingham to Gloucester line where the branch to Alvechurch and Redditch, and formerly Evesham, diverges. On Saturday 16 August 1986 I was standing on the site of the old Goods Yard when a 6 car DMU came from the Birmingham direction with a New Street to Barry Island train formed of Tyseley's T632 (presumably 51308 + 59475 + 51323) and another suburban unit with a centre car from a different class; far from unusual at this time. Peter Tandy.
