W51054 is the DMBC in C572 (presumably with 59413 + 51082) when seen at Milford Haven on the 15:15 from Swansea, 16th April 1980. Hamish Stevenson.
W51102 is the closest vehicle in set C591 seen at Manorbier with the 10:16 Pembroke Dock - Swansea on 16/04/1980. The other two vehicles are presumably 59433 + 51059. Hamish Stevenson.

51086 leads Class 119 set C595 (presumably with 59430 + 51074) into Newton Abbot with an evening local working from Paignton on the 24th July 1980. It had been transferred from Cardiff to Laira in May, the C prefix had yet to be changed. Andy Hoare.

A Gloucester Class 119 two-car DMU formed of W51052 & W51080 was stood in the separate branch platform at Liskeard with a service from Looe on July 26th 1980. The 119's were 'Cross-Country' type DMU's that normally ran in three-car formations. As Plymouth Laira set P571, the two cars were formed together between May 1980 and May 1981, when they were transferred to Cardiff. Martyn Hilbert.
Class 119 set C593 (presumably 51072 + 59431 + 51085) is seen on the overcast afternoon of Saturday August 23rd 1980 in Par station. A recent transfer from Cardiff to Laira, it is between local services on the Newquay branch. Gerard Fletcher.

A spot I know well as spent 5 years going across the level crossing here on my way to and from work until 2019. Betchworth on the 22nd of November 1980 and Class 119 dmu set L573 (probably 51055/59417/51083) is I would guess about to run through as it is working the 1O70 13.10 Reading to Gatwick service. At the moment the Reading to Redhill's stop at Betchworth but not the Gatwicks so maybe it was the same 40 years ago. Set L573 seems to have worked out of Reading from at least 1980 to 1987.
