51106 (P587) waits for departure at Okehampton station circa 1971/2. P587 transferred to Devon in 1971 and Okehampton station closed in 1972, although it is soon to reopen. The driver looks out of the window at the poster board stripped of posters and the smashed windows on the platform and the secondman reads his paper, whilst waiting for the 'right-away'. The destination blind is showing the bottom half of Lawrence Hill and the top half of Maiden Newton, reflective of the fact it had recently transferred from Bristol. Collection of Greg Scott.
