With the position of the sun 'wrong' for an approaching shot, this view was taken from the rear. The front set is number L412 and that nearest the camera is L596. Taken at 17:14, a late afternoon Up service for Paddington on the Relief Line at West Ealing station. 31st March 1992. Presumably Class 119 L596 is formed of 51099 + 59416 + 51076 and Class 117 L412 51347 + 59499 + 51389. Alistair Fyffe.
One of the few class 119 sets to appear in Network South East livery L596 (presumably 51099 + 59416 + 51076) is berthed at Redhill in May 1995. Ian Buck.
On the 3rd December 1992 51099 is seen at Leicester on the 15:04 to New Street. It is a two-car set, and although still labelled as L596 it is now T596 and the other power car should be 51076. Mark Fletcher.
Stored in the sidings at Blackpool North class 119 car 51099 awaits its fate on 27th January 1995. The markings on the cab front show that this vehicle was one of those used on the construction of the Channel Tunnel for the conveyance of workers. Ian Buck.
A GRC&W DMU in Wolverhampton Low Level Spa station, date unknown. Closest is W51100 - still looking fairly new - so this could be circa late 1959. It was a Tyseley vehicle from delivery in July 1959 until moving to Chester in March 1967. A couple of items of note - the left marker lamp has a white lens slotted in, and there is a coach board fitted but turned inwards to hide the text. Stuart Mackay Collection.

A Gloucester Railway Carriage & Wagon (Class 119) DMU passes the little halt at Gogarth on Saturday 6 July 1968, working to Wolverhampton Low Level, presumably from Barmouth.
