An official image (24 of 27, negative D5959/5) from a internal BR photo album titled "Part Refurbished Class 120 Prototype 1 and 'CIBA Giegy' Ceiling". This is the third image in the second half of the album (after a divider) and shows the CIBA Giegy ceiling (with two rows of fluorescent lights) fitted to an Etches Park set that was refurbished circa October 1977. This is thought to be the second class saloon in DMBC M50708, looking to the rear of the vehicle. British Rail.
At Cambridge in 1982 is a 120 set with possibly a 114 and 105 behind. The leading car appears to be M50708. John Law.

A Class 120 (C503, 50711 and presumably 59581 + 50658) and Class 101 (a TBS set) at Fairwood Junction on 18 August 1979. The formation is diverging from the avoiding line towards Westbury. With Cardiff Central on the destination blind it is probably a Weymouth to Cardiff service. Michael Mensing.

A class 120 / 101 dmu arrives at Troon with the 18.00 Glasgow Central - Ayr on 22-08-1986, as 47486 departs with the all first class 18.45 Ayr - Glasgow Central. This was formed of the 'Nightrider' train, which later in the evening formed an overnight service to London. It had earlier formed the 17.30 Glasgow Central - Ayr. Electric services started at the end of the following month. Although carrying set number 52 it is believed to be set 520 formed 53711 + 59046 + 53749. Gordon Thomson.

The DMBC seems to be missing a digit from its set number, Ayr had many 5xx sets at the time (the formations changed frequently).
