Class 120 set C615 heads out of Paisley Gilmour Street Station towards Glasgow, circa 1987. C615 was the unit's set number from its years at Cardiff, but it was originally allocated to the Scottish Region. Andrew McConnell.

Sc51782 (other power car is 51794) waits to depart Oban at 6.50pm with a return excursion to Glasgow via Callander on 17/05/60. The outward journey was via Arrochar, a portion had been detached at Crianlarich for Fort William, the passengers would travel by steamers between the two locations to do a circular tour. Former Cardiff Canton operated Class 120 DMBC No.51782 has just terminated at the Scottish Coastal town of Largs on the 1st August 1986 from where she will return to Glasgow Central as the rear vehicle. Still marked up as C616 from her time at Cardiff she also still wears a yellow “First Class” yellow stripe above the first 3 windows of the coach and a central headlamp between her cab windows. BR (Swindon) Cross Country DMU (later Class 120) vehicles at Inverness MPD, August 1968. Closest is No.Sc51783 (120/1 in blue with small yellow warning panel) then No.Sc59679 (179 in blue), and No.Sc51788 (120/2 in green) & Sc51790 (120/2 also in green). The DMBF seems to have a different shade (or glossier?) of blue in the centre section - was the conversion done after the vehicles had been painted into blue? Hugh Llewelyn.

To the left of the AEC engine the vertical plate is to prevent oil being sprayed from the fluid flywheel onto the exhaust. This was taken circa June 1977, probably at Wormit goods yard. British Rail.

The various bits of text tell us this was taken circa June 1977, the C1 completion date and buckeye exam being 11th June, the work being done at 7076 (Glasgow Works).
