Stourbridge Town station plays host to the usual Tyseley single car unit which is waiting to depart, in a cloud of smoke, for Stourbridge Junction. A Class 122 in Stourbridge Town station on 29/5/78. It was decided to demolish this lovely old station and replace it with a bus shelter. A new platform is being constructed and the line will be shortened! Stephen Burdett.
Bubble car 55009 is seen at Warrington Bank Quay on May 30th, 1978. Fitted with oval buffers, it was allocated to Tyseley at this time. Rex Holt.

Hamilton, Glasgow based Class 122 DMBS SC55007 is inside BREL Glasgow Works on the 3rd June 1978 high up on accommodation bogies undergoing a major refurbishment with the plating around the original 2 panel route indicator clearly visible. Transferred to Departmental service in December 1983 as TDB977223 she was finally scrapped at BREL Glasgow Works during June 1991. Bob Woolnough.
