On Easter Monday 1979 (April 16th), the Branch Line Society ran its "Waterloo and Buchan" railtour from Aberdeen to Waterloo, Maud, Fraserburgh, Strichen and Ellon. Class 122 single railcar SC55007, marked as set 178, was used. It is seen at Aberdeen Waterloo. Jeremy Chapter.

On Easter Monday 1979, the Branch Line Society ran its "Waterloo and Buchan" railtour from Aberdeen to Waterloo, Maud, Fraserburgh, Strichen and Ellon. Class 122 single railcar SC55007, marked as set 178 on one end, was used. Passenger services were withdrawn here at Ellon in 1965, and freight services has ceased in 1978, although they still operated through to Fraserburgh, with the line closing in October 1979. This was no longer a passenger vehicle - note the double doors in the centre, and it carries Rosyth Dockyard on the destination blind. There is a Class 107 in the background in Hamilton depot.
