After reversing at Temple Mills East Junction a 3-car Class 116 Derby Heavyweight set heads towards High Meads Junction with an ECS move from Stratford Depot. Formed of E53845 + E59375 + E53898. 11th March 1985. Nigel Mack.
With the collapse of retaining walls outside Hampstead Heath tunnel leading to the cancellation of all NLR services from Richmond - Broad St, the North Woolwich - Camden Road services were extended through to Gospel Oak to ease the disruption. Here a Cravens set formed of E53361 + E54423 run passed the signal box at Camden Road Junction and into the platform on a rather chilly winters morning with a service for North Woolwich on 12th February 1985. Class 117 set B450 formed of W51394 + W59539 + W51352, recently transferred from Bristol to Cardiff, brake for the station stop at Ystrad Mynach whilst forming the 1108 Rhymney - Penarth "Valley Lines" service. 17th March 1986. Nigel Mack.

A two car Met-Cam Class 101 DMU is forced to make a short shunt from one of the north end bay platforms at Newcastle Central, in order to gain a route towards Sunderland, after a power failure caused chaos with the signalling equipment. 30th June 1987. Nigel Mack.
Transferred from Ayr - Cricklewood fifteen months previously, BRC&W Class 104 DMSL M53520 still proudly displays its AY depot sticker as it leads DMBS M53479 past the signal box at Upper Holloway and into the station whilst forming the 0945 Gospel Oak - Barking service on 16th May 1985. Nigel Mack.
Stratford allocated Class 116 DMU formed of E53865 + E59367 + E53894 approach Stratford depot whilst forming the 1630 Tottenham Hale - North Woolwich service on 18th April 1986. I believe these services ceased with the commencement of the summer timetable and resulted in the closure of Lea Bridge Station. Nigel Mack.
During the route learning of Didcot DB drivers on the Chilterns and Euston for an upcoming Paddington blockade, Wrexham & Shropshire bubble car 977873 operating from Tyseley was been hired in for the duration, and sits on the buffer stops at Euston waiting to depart for Banbury and Tyseley on the last trip of the day on 2 June 2008. 37285+Failed DMU 840609 Camp Hill 1545 BNSt-Hereford One afternoon whilst at New Street Station and not feeling to clever - Man Flu! - 37285 arrived dragging a Class 119 Gloucester RCW DMU on a train from Hereford. Everyone expected it to be dragged off to Tyesley. But No - off it went back to Hereford but this time via Camp Hill so I took it home to Droitwich and a welcome couple of days in bed! Here we see the combination rounding the curve at St Andrews Junction before tackling Camp Hill 9th June 1984. Steve Robinson.
