119 DMU

Class 119 (51087) & 101 (set CR243) at Chester depot on 22 March 1975. it seemed as there was pretty much one of every class of DMU on shed that Saturday. Alistair Ness.

108 DMU

Class 108s at Chester depot on 22 March 1975 (set CR255 on right). I always liked the Derby Headcode sets and this pair obliged by posing nicely in the shed doorway. Alistair Ness.

swindon-79xxx DMU

Withdrawn Class 126 units at Millerhill in April 1973 (SC79109 closest). Most of the withdrawn E&G Swindons, which is what we knew them as, ended up stored at Millerhill Yard before being taken south for Scrap. They then hung around in East Anglia for a quite a while as we kept stumbling across them when we were on trips at such unlikely places as Ely and Mistley awaiting devouring by Kings scrapyards in Norwich and Snailwell. Some also went to Swindon for cutting up and sat alongside the Westerns waiting their turn to go. Alistair Ness.

116 DMU

Class 116 Erdington in August 1972. Erdington was my local station when staying with my aunt on trips down from Scotland. I'm glad I took this mundane every day shot now which is one of my favourites. A long frame derby Suburban DMU is arriving with a New Street to Four Oaks or Lichfield City working. In those days it wasn't a Cross-City line (in fact back then there were only a few services a day to Redditch) and trains took up valuable platform dwell time at BNS while drivers changed ends. Alistair Ness.

104 DMU

A three-car trailer brake Class 104 DMU set heads away from Filey station with the 5.50am Hull - Scarborough service on 6 September 1974. DMCL E50580 leads, with an abbreviated 'Scarbro' on the destination blind. Michael Mensing.

101 DMU

Met-Camm DMU set B804 (presumably 51523 + 59551 + 51452) arrives into Frome station during 1981. Michael Mensing.

116 DMU

A Derby suburban triple DMU and a GRC&W Cross-Country DMU at Acocks Green in late April 1962. The number of the leading DMBS cannot be clearly read other than ending in a 3, Tyseley only had two of these batch two sets at the time which makes this 50833 (the other being 831). Banbury is on the destination blind. Michael Mensing.
