Class 121 single car 55029 is used to strengthen a three car Pressed Steel unit. Seen at Didcot in 1988. 55029 finished its working life on Bedford-Bletchley trains. Tony Walmsley.

In 1985 class 120 DMSL 51789 is seen at Bradford Interchange on one of the recently introduced services using the Copy Pit line between Burnley and Hebden Bridge. Though still carrying Derby unit number EP504 this car was Newton Heath based for about a year up to October 1985 when it went back to Scotland to Ayr. This vehicle was part of one of the seven units used for many years between Inverness and Aberdeen which moved to Derby in October 1981. Tony Walmsley.
