Passing Class 101s at the south end of Halesworth station. Set 94 is on a Lowestoft service, 53266 seems to be leading which dates this to late 1985 or early 1986. With the headlight on at this end and no driver, set 101 is likely on a turnaround service from / to Ipswich and between duties. 53330 is likely the closest vehicle. Both sets have the centre of the RETB antenna lower than the destination box - within a few months these would be moved upwards, so the centre was at the side of the destination box, probably to improve reception? Class 108 DMU S959 (presumably 53947 + 53633) stops at Knighton Station just before 12 noon on the 1st February 1990 working the 10.43 Shrewsbury to Swansea (14.40). The journey over the Central Wales Line took almost 4 hours!! At the time only 1 platform and 1 line was in place, though in later years the second line would be reinstated. Dave Gommersall.

On Christmas morning 1989 the station at WSH was open but nobody was on duty so I walked to the Depot to take this photo of the remains of the OWW building demolished on the 3rd December 1989, where there were some 116s and a 150. The depot pits had been filled in and the sign was no longer appropriate!!! Dave Gommersall.
Overnight on Saturday the 2nd December 1989 the original OWW shed at Worcester Depot was demolished with much of the building used to fill in the pits seen in this photo. The shot was taken late on Sunday morning, the 3rd December 1989. The Depot continued to function with 2 DMUs started up for workings later that day - a Class 116 and Class 121 55033. The original Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton (OWW known as the 'Old Worse and Worse'!!) Depot at Worcester had just 3 more weeks before it was flattened after this image was taken at lunchtime on Sunday the 12th November 1989. Stabled there were 55032, 150 145 and T312. Dave Gommersall.
