Delivery of unit expected by March 1957. Chairman stated that information had been received that the new unit is being produced with old type springing, and Mr.Stanley said that new type springing would increase the cost by £700 per vehicle, but he will contact British United Traction and report the full facts.
Nineteen 3-car sets will be delivered by Messrs. Cravens June to November 1957. Revised financial results of scheme considered and agreed. Complete amended report to be submitted to General Manager without further delay and to include note of explanation regarding increased cost of fuel.
Scheme being re-examined following visit of commitee to area, and progressing satisfactorily.
