Noted that Mr.Randle is in correspondence with Mr.Robson regarding certain improvements to the 3-car set now under construction by B.U.T.Ltd., including thicker plates for the top two leaves on the side bearing springs of the power cars at a cost of £7.16.0d. per car, which will delay delivery of the unit until June 1957.
Final report now in course of circulation amongst departments concerned.
Re-examination of scheme, following visit of Commitee to area, progressing satisfactorily.
The Chairman referred to letters he had received from the Regional Accountant regarding the anticipated financial results of these two schemes and said that as a general question of policy was involved he proposed to take an early opportunity of discussing the matter with Messrs.Gould, Dow and Nicholls.
Mr.Gould said that the report for this scheme is progressing satisfactorily.
Mr.Gould reported that this scheme is being re-examined in the light of the 1956 census.
