Mr.Randle confirmed that delivery of 35 4-car sets would commence in February 1960 and continue at the rate of 4 1/2 vehicles per week until completion in September, 1960.
Noted that plan now prepared and in circulation through departments for approval. Special arrangements are in hand for the provision of one fuelling point to be in operation by February 25th and urgent consideration is being given to achieving the full working of the depot by June 1st, 1960. Agreed that Messrs.Elliott and Talyor jointly consider the whole position and report at the next meeting.

The Chairman said that a suggestion for the re-modelling of the frontage of Liverpool Central Station had been received and it was noted that this would not affect the diesel scheme. Mr.Gould stated also that if the line is ultimately electrified, no additional accomodation or platforms would be required at Liverpool Central.
