Mr.Reynolds said a press statement had been agreed with the L.T.E. to the effect that Chorley Wood platforms were to be lengthened and L.M.R. trains were to stop at that station. It was noted that £15,000 expenditure on lengthening of platforms would be included in the L.T.E. overall estimates for the modernisation of the Metropolitan Line, and Commission approval was not therefore required.

Consideration was given to the date for the introduction of a fully reliable service for this scheme, the units for which are working temporarily in the St.Pancras scheme, and it was agreed that the next Marylebone unit turned out of Derby Works be sent to Manchester for driver training. A further 5 units to be sent to Manchester in June, 1960 for the diesel service to commence in steam timings.
