The suitability of the Western Region vehicles, which included buffet
car facilities, was still under examination, but as it was now uncertain whether
or not these units would become available, it was agreed the compilation of the
submission should proceed on the basis of the vehicles being provided from this
Region's existing stock so that the ultimate profitability of the scheme should be
precisely assessed.
(c) Chester - Rhyl - Llandudno
The financial details which were being prepared by the Chief Accountant
in conjunction with the Director of Traffic Services preparatory to the submission
of the scheme, were nearly complete.
The financial details for the Nottingham - Mansfield - Worksop scheme
would be completed and as the anticipated gross receipts of the proposed service
do not fully cover its operational costs, the details have been furnished by the
Director of Traffic Services to the Line Traffic Manager, Derby, to consider the
future of the service.
For the remaining two services, the financial details are being prepared
by the Chief Accountant, in conjunction with the Director of Traffic Services, and
if, as anticipated, the schemes prove unremunerative, the future of these services
will be considered by the Line Traffic Manager, Derby.
