Diagrams

LMR - The DMBS was to diagram 556 (same as the 3-car sets) and the DTCL to diagram 585:

ER - These had the DMBS to diagram 557 and the DTCL to diagram 581:

The DMBSs differed in that the LMR vehicles had a sliding into the front (non-smoking) saloon, the ER sets didn't. The DTCs differed as the ER vehicles had a luggage rack opposite the toilet.

Design Codes

These replaced Diagrams in 1980.

LMR DMBS - DQ 205 (same as the 3-car sets), DTCL - DS 305 (DS 205 when downgraded to DTSL):
