While the official withdrawal dates for 55003/6/9 was 20/9/93, the actual withdrawal dates were:
55003  10/8/93
55006  6/9/93
55009  6/9/93

Likewise the official date for 55012 was 10/1/94, although it was actually withdrawn on 22/12/93. 55000/3/6/9/12 were noted stored at Gloucester in January 1994, not far from where they were built. 55003/6/9/12 moved to store at Blackpool 2/94, and by 19/9/95 they were at MC Metals for asbestos checks - before entering preservation vehicles that had been asbestos stripped by Vic Berrys still had to be inspected for asbestos at MC Metals as the original paperwork could not be found.
