Two Derby Heavyweight sets in Lincoln Central station, date unknown. E50012 is on the right. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Lots of Rail Blue at the east end of Sheffield Midland station on 28th May 1978 but not many passengers about. I suspect these two BR Derby Class 114 dmus are stabled between duties while the one on the far left (Metro-Cam Class 101) had just arrived from Doncaster. Pete LG99.
A Class 114 DMU with DMBS E50012 closest - the DTCL is probably E56040 - on a Doncaster service seen in platform 1a on Sheffield station, date unknown. Paul Redmond.
A Huddersfield-bound DMU pulls into the staggered platforms at Shepley station on the Penistone line in January 1983. It is formed of a Class 114 - E50012 seems to be leading - and a two-car Met-Camm. Andrew Walker.

The LCGB South Yorkshireman railtour during the photo stop at Wadsley Bridge on 26 May 1987. I gather it was supposed to be two 114s, but we got a 114 (54003 + 53012) and a 111 (78964 + 78714). I recall reading later that the 114 had been stored (u) at Lincoln before the tour, which the website pages confirm. The unit wasn't in the best of health as its engines cut out several times during the day, leaving the 111 to do all the work. Even so, even though we left Sheffield 26 minutes late, we got back just 1 minute late! I've never been sure if the 114 was taken out of store specially for the tour. Andrew Phillips.
