A Derby suburban triple set 327 seen near Bearley on 8 August 1964, led by M50119. Many (but not all) of the Tyseley set numbers in this period matched the last two digits of the centre car, in this case 59027. By the end of the sixties a 5xx number series was used, often just switching the 3 to a 5, this set becoming TY527. Michael Mensing.
Tyseley Derby suburban set 327 passes the water troughs at Lapworth in July 1966 led by M50119. Michael Mensing.
Class 116 DMU set TY527 (presumably 50119 closest) has dropped a load of passengers at Spring Road. Circa early 1970s. John Horne Collection.
I think my father was photographing these services in conjunction with the closure of Birmingham Snow Hill. In this one a Tyseley single car DMU (TY055, presumably 55010) is seen about to depart on the 18.17 Langley Green To Birmingham Snow Hill whilst a Kidderminster service arrives (TY527, presumably 50119). Date is 3rd March 1972. The KDH Archive.

The KDH Archive.
Class 116 DMU set TY527 (presumably 50119 + 59027 + 50061) heads away from Kidderminster station. With Kidderminster on the destination blind it was probably a termination service now switching lines. Another 116 and a 101 are stabled in the sidings. Michael Mensing.
Class 116 set TS527 (M50119 and presumably 59027 + 50859) at Sutton Coldfield on 8 June 1977. Michael Mensing.
Mixed-livery Class 116 set TS539 (front two vehicles presumably being 50119 + 59717) departing Tyseley for Leamington Spa via Shirley on 17-2-82. On Tour With the Class 13 Army.
Derby vehicles Class 116 M53119 and Class 115 M59717 at Stratford-upon-Avon on 3 June 1984. Vincent Haworth.
M53119, M53888 and 47346 at Leamington Spa, 03-06-84 Vincent Haworth.
M53119 at University, Birmingham on 07/07/84. Steve Jones.
53119 Derby Research Centre Siding 2nd May 1988 Kevin Watson.
Centre car 59027 part of set TY527 presumably with DMS 50119 at Kidderminster on 7 August 1976. This was probably a terminating service that is changing lines. Michael Mensing.
A couple of Class 116 DMUs seen near Bournville in 1980 on a cross-city working to Four Oaks. The closest set is still in plain rail blue (and seems to be TS539, presumably 51133 + 59443 + 50119), the rear set is in refurbished livery. Ian Docwra.
Class 116 set TS539 (M53075 + M59717 + M53119) seen at Stratford-upon-Avon, 03-06-84. Vincent Haworth.
Barnt Green is the junction for the Redditch branch, the line for which curves sharply away from the Birmingham to Bristol line. Line occupation, especially in the summer, meant that trains from Redditch often had quite a wait in the platform until Saltley Power Box found them a path, especially if they were a minute or two late arriving. The usual class 116 (TS512, presumably 53063 + 59717 + 53119) is shown here on 16 August 1986 waiting at the signal before heading off to Lichfield City via Birmingham New Street. Peter Tandy.
An evening train from Leamington Spa to Birmingham Moor Street had just dropped off a few passengers at Hatton when I photographed it on 24 April 1987. The unit is the usual class 116 3 car - set TS512 presumably 53063 + 59717 (a 115 TS) + 53119. Peter Tandy.
