E50152 heads this 2-car set at Peterborough with the 17.44 to Cambridge on 7 March 1970. Among notable features in this once everyday sight are the enormous pile of mailbags on the trolley, and the telegraph poles with a multitude of cross-arms. Tom Burnham.
A hybrid DMU set arrives into Dovercourt Bay station on 3 April 1971 formed of Class 101 DMBS 50152 and Class 100 DTCL 56307. Nicholas T Smith.
A Class 101 DMU is seen at Saltburn, awaiting return to Darlington, on Saturday 05/06/1976. The DMBS is noted as E50152. Graeme Phillips Collection.
A Met-Camm DMBS and driver trailer and Class 110 in Doncaster Works in 1978, probably during the open day on June 17th. Does '52' help identify the unknown DMBS vehicle partially seen on the left? There were four Met-Camm DMBSs ending in 52 at the time; 50152, 50252, 51252 and 51452. The right hand inward opening van door narrows it down to the latter two. Of those 51452 was a blue grey WR vehicle at the time, which means this is almost certainly 51252 (see image 16562). John Law.
