22/05/81 - The first service across the reopened Barmouth Bridge with the 10:42 from Shrewsbury formed of nine cars. The Pwllheli section unusually headed the formation, being 56343/51189, 51190/56340, 51182/56348, to save time when the Aberystwyth / Pwllheli sections split. Chester wagon shops prepared a bi-lingual headboard.

The 4.50pm Walsall - Dudley Port (Low Level) arrives into Dudley Port station on 5 March 1960 formed of a Met-Camm twin DMU led by M51190. Michael Mensing.
Two Met-Camm twins back out of platform 3 at Birmingham New Street after arriving with the 12:45pm ex-Stafford on 24 March 1962. The closest vehicle appears to be M51190, at the allocated to Ryecroft. Michael Mensing.
The 2.50pm Birmingham New Street - Rugby service on 12 May 1964 is formed of three two-car sets, with a Park Royal flanked by two Met-Camms. M51190 leads as it approaches Brandon and Wolston station. Michael Mensing.
M51190 leads a two-car Met-Camm DMU seen north of Barratt Green in August 1964. It carries its shed code (2G Rycroft) on either side of the cab. Michael Mensing.
Park Royal class 103 and Metropolitan-Cammell class 101 DMUs stabled in the former steam motive power depot at Machynlleth on 22nd August 1968. My notes state that the following units were present on shed: M50404-M56158, M50402-M56348 and M51190-M56157. Gordon Edgar.

Class 101 51190 is seen at Tyseley on the arrival roads, 27.09.1986. The units stabled here have recently been transferred from other depot's, and Tyseley would try to put the best one's back into service. Andy Cole.

Waiting at Westbury. Met Camm triple set 830 (53333 + 59105 + 51190) was a long time LMR set and moved to the WR before this photo was taken at Westbury in November 1987. The Network South East flash seems to have been added to the front end very recently as it doesn't appear on other photos of it this vehicle the previous month. Murray Liston.
