Two Met-Camm triple DMUs in Gravelly Hill station working the 5.30pm Lichfield (TV) - Birmingham (NS) service on 23 August 1958. Closest is M50333, just under six months old, and 3E painted on the buffet beam which was the code of its home depot Monument Lane at the time. It's partners are presumably M59126 and M50315. Michael Mensing.
Blue Met Cam set on a Leicester to Birmingham working passing Wigston North Junction. ANDREW SALES.
Sporting black cab window surrounds, Tyseley allocated Class 101 DMU, set TS402 (53333 and presumably 59116 + 50315), pauses at Cheltenham Spa station with another of its class. June 1983. Paul James.
A three-car Class 101 Metro-Cam DMU with Driving Motor Second Lavatory (ex Composite), 53333 leading, was stood on the Up Fast at Leyland station with an early morning Blackpool North to Manchester Victoria service on May 16th 1986. Running without a destination blind in place, this was another hastily acquired set to cover a shortage of units following the troubles of the new Class 142 Pacer fleet the introduction of which had seen the demise of much of the areas first generation fleet of DMU sets in 1985/86. When the Pacer fleet started to be sidelined/stored due to numerous technical issues and poor-design faults, still serviceable DMU sets appeared at Newton Heath that were once unfamiliar on local services across the North West. This was a short term fix until the new Class 150/2 Sprinters appeared in sufficient quantities. Martyn Hilbert.
M53333 carries set number 905 in a cab window at its home depot of Tyseley on May 16, 1987. It moved to Reading that month. Andy Cole.

Met-Camm set 830 (53333 closest, the DMBS is 51190 and the centre car presumably 59105) heads away from Southall station in October 1987. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Waiting at Westbury. Met Camm triple set 830 (53333 + 59105 + 51190) was a long time LMR set and moved to the WR before this photo was taken at Westbury in November 1987. The Network South East flash seems to have been added to the front end very recently as it doesn't appear on other photos of it this vehicle the previous month. Murray Liston.
Carrying a NSE flash on the front, Met-Camm set 830 is seen in London's Paddington station in January 1988. This should be 53333. Malcolm Clements.

L830 (presumably 53333 + 59111 + 51190) arrived at Downham Market awaiting the coach replacement service from Ely on May 21, 1992. Alex Drennan.
51190 - the leading vehicle in set 830 seen at Southall circa October 1987 - has had the M prefix painted over on its number. 53333 is on the rear, the centre car should be 59105. Stuart Mackay Collection.
