The "West Midlands Roundabout No.2" railtour on 30 December 1983 was organised by local railway management. Class 101 car 53323 is seen nearest the camera in this shot taken during a pause at Burton-on-Trent. Jeremy Chapter.
On 30 December 1983 I travelled on the "West Midlands Roundabout No 2" railtour. This started at Birmingham New Street and visited Drakelow, Burton, Lichfield, Bescot, Bushbury, the Oxley curve, Kidderminster and Worcester SH before returning to New Street. This is the tour train during a short break at Burton. The set visible is 53323 + 59129 + 53307. Lewis Bevan.

53323 at Birmingham New Street on 02/06/84. Note the British Rail Utility Trolley being used by a couple of spotters. If left unattended for long, these handy things would sometimes be used by BR staff for moving parcels and mail around the place. The cheek of some folk... Steve Jones.
