A Class 120 DMU - 53701 closest with Blackpool North on the destination blind - at Bolton when semaphore signalling was extant on 24 May 1985. The centre car is likely Class 104 59153, the rear car presumably 53681. Chris Thorp.
Class 117 set L417 (51354 and presumably 59506 + 51396) is seen at Tyseley on 13.09.1986 after overhaul and repainting into Network South East livery at Doncaster works. It was on it's way back to Reading. The set is next to blue grey Class 104 centre car M59153. Andy Cole.
53355 Class 100 is seen stabled at Tyseley carriage sidings on 11/10/86. It is coupled to Class 104 centre car 59153 and Class 105 DMS 53812. Andy Cole.
A trio of assorted DMU trailers lie out of use in the depot yard at Haymarket on 18/7/89. From left to right they are 59107(cl.101), 59809(cl.110) and 59153(cl.104). Leonard Rogers.
A view of the DMU sidings at Haymarket on 15/10/89, with 53699 and 59571 of set 120 532 on the left and 59153 (withdrawn) and the end of 107 733 in the centre. Leonard Rogers.
A scene in Millerhill yard on 29/8/93, showing a line-up of withdrawn coaching stock. On the left is Mk.1 BSK no. 35450 then, in the centre, cl.104 TBS no. 59215. Behind it is cl.104 former TC no. 59153 and then Mk.2a FK no. 13461. The DMU trailers had been long withdrawn - for five-and-a-half years in the case of 59215 and four years for 59153 - and were now awaiting removal to Springburn for scrap. Leonard Rogers.
