The end of the line for four former Scottish Region, Swindon built 'Inter City' DMU power cars. The intermediate car is SC79164, two of the others are noted as SC79105, SC79109 (the latter with the cab facing us). They stand off the rails in Kings Scrapyard at Snailwell in Cambridgeshire on a wintery 29th November 1980. The units were contaminated with asbestos and would be passed through the on-site firing tunnel before the charred remains were cut-up for scrap.
