A Class 107 DMU set (believed to be 107441 with 52002 closest) in Kyle St. stabling point, Ayr, on the evening of 30 October 1983. This was the weekend of the "Railfair" at Ayr to celebrate the start of the Ayrshire electrification project. Andrew McConnell.

Sc51036 in Kyle Street sidings (behind Ayr station) in August 1982. At this time the class had gone past their BR "sell by" date and almost all of the class lay out of use. 126 406 and 413 (behind) were both withdrawn and reinstated 8/82 and became the only two sets to survive past the end of the month, remaining in service until January of the following year. Sc51017 and Sc51043 face off in Ayr (Kyle St sidings), August 1982. The vehicles were then part of the last two Class 126 units to survive (126 413 and 126 406). The best example of each type of 126 vehicle from the last two sets were remarshalled to form the now preserved Class 126 unit, 126 413 (Sc51017, Sc59404, Sc51043). Andrew McConnell.

Class 107 Derby 3-car DMUs at Ayr - right to left are DMS 52023 then 51986 + 59225 + 52030 (59225 was a Class 104 TBSL) 12-7-84 Class 104 TBSL was reinstated from Store to AY in 1984. It was withdrawn in July 1987. On Tour With the Class 13 Army.

It’s Not Unusual. Swindon Class 126 Inter-City Intermediate Driving Car Sc51016 at Kyle Street Sidings, Ayr. It was not unusual to see a Swindon power car here on its own. However, by this time there were only a handful of IC Sets still in traffic. Sunday 12 September 1982. alicia hartman.
