A three-car Scottish Region Class 107 DMU (set 148) had arrived in bay platform 7 at Carlisle with a service from Kilmarnock on March 25th 1979. Only one vehicle number was captured - SC52028 at the far end, but the other two vehicles are believed to be 52002 + 59799. Martyn Hilbert.
On a snowy March 23rd 1980, a Derby built Class 107 Driving Motor Brake Second SC52002, complete with 'Greater Glasgow Trans-Clyde' branding, had been split from three-car set 148 and was stood in the yard at Hamilton Depot. SC52002 would be finally withdrawn from service in March 1986 and scrapped at Ayr Depot. Martyn Hilbert.
A Class 107 DMU set (believed to be 107441 with 52002 closest) in Kyle St. stabling point, Ayr, on the evening of 30 October 1983. This was the weekend of the "Railfair" at Ayr to celebrate the start of the Ayrshire electrification project. Andrew McConnell.
The Saturdays only 1108 Girvan to Glasgow Central rasps its way out of Paisley Gilmour Street. Class 107 DMBS SC52002 leads the way but as was normal for the period the 6 car rake comprises a mix of unit types. Bruce Galloway.

Withdrawn Class 107 DMBS SC52002, Ayr depot, 17 May 1986. By the summer it would be a grounded body on the depot. The 27s are 27010 and 27047, note the Class 120 with the sheeted over cab windows. Stuart Mackay Collection.
