A hybrid dmu formation with a class 100 DMBS, M50343, at the rear leaves platform 1 at Birmingham New Street heading for Kidderminster. 50343 was based at Tyseley from May 1975 until withdrawal in September 1981 having previously been based in Scotland. This photo was probably taken around 1980. The two Class 101 cars in the formation are presumably M59124 + M50332. Tony Walmsley.
Tyseley DMU set TS411 arrives into Warwick station on Tuesday 27 May 1980, Birmingham (Moor Street) on the destination blind. It is formed of Class 100 DMBS 50343 and two Met-Camm vehicles, presumably 59124 + 50332. David Russon.
With "Handbrake Off" painted on the side, there seems little intention of using 50343 again when seen at Tyseley on 8/11/81. It had in fact been withdrawn in September that year. Chris Lings.

E50346 at March on a very damp August 17th 1979 in ex works condition with domino style headcode display. After this hasty (and somewhat blurred) photo had been taken, I went down to the platform where further scrutiny revealed a paint date of 29/7/79. It was paired here with a rather less sparkling Cravens trailer, E56114, they were working the 17.10 Cambridge to Peterborough service. Gerard Fletcher.
