A three-car Metro-Cammell DMU passing Robroyston East Junction signal box on the ex-Caledonian line out of Buchanan Street. In the background are the Campsies, and Ben Lomond is just visible to their left. The slide process date was March 1966, this could be a Glasgow Buchanan Street - Cumbernauld shuttle. LNER Q6 Class 0-6-0 63407 heads for the shed at West Hartlepool past a Met-Camm dmu in the sidings at the north end of the station on 7 May 1966. The area has changed beyond recognition with the dock area being redeveloped as a marina. Alan Grange.

A wet afternoon at Arkleston Junction on 22 May 1966 as Metro Cammell unit SC51470 picks its way cautiously through the revised layout and on to the up (no longer fast or slow) line while en route to Glasgow Central. Some final tuning of the lines would appear to be necessary. Colin Kirkwood.
