This had been refurbished and repainted into Strathclyde PTE livery but was released to Tyseley for a short time before moving north, when it would receive it's Strathclyde Transport branding. Crookston is on the Glasgow & South Western's main line from Glasgow to Ayrshire, which was independant of the 'joint' line (with the Caledonian Railway) via Paisley Gilmour Street. It closed as a through route on 10th January 1983 (together with the Kilmacolm branch) but re-opened as far as Paisley Canal in June 1990. Gordon Thomson.
