Long out-of-ticket, they had had the axles ultrasonically tested and a Fragonset Class 31 was hired to move them to a nearby 'depot' with a loading point. Unfortunately it was found that there is a tight corner on the way into the depot, with bollards on the pavement which prevented the Allely's lorry from turning. The move was aborted. The council agreed to remove the bollards, and the move was rescheduled for a later date. Paul Moxon.
