A sorry-looking and heavily stripped Park Royal Class 103 Driving Trailer Composite Lavatory, car number M56153, was awaiting disposal at Chester depot on August 21st 1977. The car had been in a collision with a fallen tree on the Conway Valley line in January 1976 which had sealed its fate. 56155 is on the left. Martyn Hilbert.

The leading twin is a Class 103/119, a comment added to the image on flickr notes the 119 to be M51057 which "ran in various hybrid formations during the late seventies".
