Heading down the gradient between Disley and Middlewood on 6th May 1989 is a BRC&W Newton Heath allocated 3 car set N669 (53528, 59187, 53454), with the 104 DMUPG "Buxton 104 Farewell" on a special Buxton-Manchester Piccadilly non stop run.
