Three 2-car Cravens (later Class 105) DMUs at Hornsea Town station forming a Summer Saturday service to Hull - c.08/1964. Hornsea Town was the eastern terminus of the Hull and Hornsea branchline. The last passenger train between Hull and Hornsea ran on 19th October 1964. M50770 is at the front of a 3-car Cravens set in Birmingham New Street on October 24, 1964. It is standing empty at the end of platform 8, probably forming the 5.28pm to Derby. Michael Mensing.

A scan of a water damaged print showing a Cravens twin set with DTC Sc56465 closest at Craigellachie, date unknown. The GNoSR footbridge has boards listing the destinations from the platform, the left side reads "Platform 2 for Elgin, Lossiemouth Inverness and the North". The DMU is in platform 1 and is likely on a service bound for Aberdeen. A third platform off to the left was for the Speyside branch, for several years operated by diesel railbuses to Aviemore. A Cravens 2-car set waits at a tired looking Dunstable North station before returning to Hatfield on Monday 29 March 1965, just under a month before passenger services ceased. This would be the 3.07pm departure, the first train since 8.45am. No wonder the line closed! The van is occupying the bay platform used by former LNWR trains from Leighton Buzzard, which had last run in 1962. Kevin Lane Collection.
