31st July 1975

Evening rush-hour Cravens action at Barbican on 31 July 1975. A Hatfield-bound set passes another heading ECS into Moorgate to work out later to Hertford North. Comments to this image on flickr by Mister C notes that on the right is the 1817 Moorgate to Hatfield but, looking at the timetables, the Hertford train was a bizarre working. The Cravens on the left came up as 1617 Royston to Kings Cross York Road and ran ecs to Barbican. It reversed there, without going into Moorgate, going empty back to Farringdon to form 1827 Farringdon to Hertford North. Note that it is not carrying a tail lamp. Kevin Lane.
