Norwich allocated Cravens class 105 dmu E53365 is seen right up at the blocks at Sheringham, about to form a Norwich service, on what is now know as the "Bittern Line", on 16th August 1986. The scene here has changed, and for the good for once, after a period of 36 years the link to the North Norfolk Rly, over the road was reinstated on the 11th March 2010, so trains can now pass right through this scene. Andrew J Crowther.

In dismal weather the 10.57 Cambridge - Doncaster DMU does a little trade at Spalding on Thursday October 21st 1982. This was just over a month before the end of the joint line from March by which route it had travelled. Norwich Cravens twin unit set no. 46 has E51273 leading E56123. The power car had spent over 18 years on the GN Suburban services before being sent to Norwich in early 1978. It was withdrawn in November 1984 and met its end at Snailwell in 1986. The unit at the rear is the departmental 'Stourton Saloon' by this time numbered ADB975664 & ADB975637. Gerard Fletcher.

Many people disliked the Cravens Class 105s intensely because of their noisy ride. To me this just added to the 'experience'. To get a Cravens twin with the needle off the clock (over 70mph) was exhilarating to say the least and also quite commonplace. Here Norwich set no. 47 (E51295 + E56429) awaits its next duty on September 9th 1981. Gerard Fletcher.
This is a view of the Norwich skyline taken from Lower Clarence Road car park. It is Easter Saturday, April 2nd 1983 and the Jubilee Sidings are brimming with dmus as usual. The nearest vehicle is Cravens trailer no. E56135 which is partnering E51295 as set no. 47. Gerard Fletcher.
