This is noted as the 13:10 to Alston, seen in Carlisle station on Saturday 1st May 1975 which was the last day of services on the Alston branch. It's formed of a three-car Class 108, 2-car 101 and another set of at least vehicles with a Met-Camm closest. Stuart Mackay Collection.

The photographer's notes suggest this pair of cars was a demonstrator for the DMU refurbishment programme, and it generally operated between Leeds and Sheffield, although the original demonstrator was a 3-car Class 101.
