The data panel on a Liverpool bound seen at Wigan North Western DMU shows that it's a Class 108 Driving Motor Brake Second. DQ212 is the design code for that type of vehicle and it has 52 2nd class seats. It was last shopped for a C3 exam on 7th August 1981 at works code 5458, which was Doncaster Works Carriage Shops, and would be due for shopping again in February 1984.
