Coupling mismatch? A class 108 dmu headed by DMSL M52055 has arrived at the west end of platform 2 at Cardiff Central one day in 1991 and provides an easy passenger connection with a Paddington bound IC125. 52055 was based at Landore from October 1988 until April 1992. Tony Walmsley.

Buxton allocated DMU set BX372 (52056 + 59148 + 53930), a class 108/104 hybrid, stands at the old Morecambe station on the promenade with train 1H51 the 14.55 to Stockport on 02/06/88. This station closed on 07/02/94 when a smaller two platform station opened closer to the town centre but in doing so reduced the length of the branch by 17ch (nearly ¼ mile). Adrian Nicholls.

The warmth of the signalbox at Stratford-upon-Avon was welcome on Friday 26 October 1985 and this picture was taken from the window as 6 coach 108 (52058 + 59388 + 51943) + 104 DMU (53429 + 59195 + 53507) shunted from platform 1 to the Cold Store Siding alongside platform 3 where it spent the rest of the day before returning after dark to Manchester Piccadilly.
