Withdrawn vehicles at Millerhill on the 8th November 1981. Met-Camm buffet car 59578 is next to Cravens 50770, this has 'cond 7720 30.9.81' painted on its side. Hamish Stevenson.

A Neville Hill based Class 111 unit calls at Carnforth en route from Leeds to Morecambe. This train will reverse at Lancaster. This unit is one of the ten Met-Camm units built with a 4 character headcode box above the front windows, hence the destination blind being set down into the centre window. Tony Walmsley.
