The station (which closed in June 1967) was on the GW & Great Central Joint line from Princes Risborough to Aylesbury. One of the six Allerton allocated Derby 1960 built class 115 high density dmu's (the set number seems to read AN610) is captured arriving into the 9 platformed Manchester Central station, which was built by the Cheshire Lines Committiee, opening on the 1st July 1880 and closing on 5th May 1969. It has since been converted into an exhibition and conference centre, opening as G-MEX in 1986 and now renamed Manchester Central again. Andrew J Crowther.
