Class 116/115 hybrid set T323 (53093 + 59670 + 53818) about to call at a gloomy-looking Wilmcote with a Stratford-upon-Avon to Birmingham service on 13 April 1991. A solitary passenger was waiting for the next train to Stratford. Peter Tandy.
Hybrid Class 116/115/116 DMU T323 (presumably 53093 + 59670 + 53818) seen heading for Birmingham New Street. This is thought to be taken where Fenny Compton Road crosses the Oxford - Birmingham line near Wormleighton. The slide has a process date of April 1992. Stuart Mackay Collection.
This scene on Hatton Bank was so commonplace that most photographers didn't "waste" a frame of film on it but I took a lot of shots of DMUs in my local area and these are now at least as interesting as some of the freight and locomotive-hauled passenger traffic. This one shows Tyseley's class 116 T323 working one of the then frequent Leamington Spa to Birmingham Moor Street local trains on 19 March 1993. The impressive building in the background is what was once called the Hatton Lunatic Asylum but this has long been demolished and replaced with a housing estate. Peter Tandy.
T323 (53114 + 59592 + 51869) at Crewe with the 09:04 to Stafford (possibly the power was off), on 13/4/93. Gazza Prescott.

The stabling sidings at Leamington on 4 October 1987 contain two dmu sets and Class 31 no. 31127. On the left is T324, presumably 53101 + 59672 + 53053. Lewis Bevan.
Class 116 set T324 is caught on the Coalville branch. Presumably 53101 + 59672 + 53053, date unknown but possibly on the 1988 open day shuttles? Tom Clift.
A Coalville - Leicester DMU shuttle led by T324 (presumably 53101 + 59672 + 53053), run in connection with Coalville Open Day, passes Bagworth and Ellistown. The track looks as if it has been affected by mining subsidence. Lewis Bevan.
Class 116 3-car DMU (with a Class 115 centre car) Tyseley set T324 (53101 + 59672 + 53053) arriving at Rhyl with service for Chester 10-7-88. On Tour With The Class 13 Army.
Class 116 DMBS 53053 leading set T324, with 59672 and 53101 on the Lickey Incline near Bromsgrove on 4/Mar/1990. The centre trailer is a class 115 TCL. The leading vehicle still retains it's top marker light - originally the earliest batches of class 116s had four marker lights, one above the destination box and three across the cab front. Later the lower centre marker light was removed leaving just the two standard marker lights on the cab front; in most cases the top light was removed at the same time. Robert Chilton.
A Class 116 (which looks like it could be set T324 and thus 53101 + 59672 + 53053) and Class 108 with a Nottingham -Skegness service departs from Nottingham Platform 5 on 2nd June 1990. David Page.
T324 (53101 + 59672 + 53053) leaves Old Hill working the 17:09 Worcester F St-Birmingham New St. on the 11th May 1991. Gazza Prescott.
T324 (53053 + 59672 + 53101) with T027 (53019 + 54006) at Hereford, having arrived as the 17:30 ex-Birmingham New Street on the 2nd January 1992. Gazza Prescott.
First generation DMUs were far from from common on the Birmingham to Derby line by 1993 so it was a surprise when T324 formed of 53055 (class 116) + 59603 (class 115) + 53101 (class 116) appeared at Lea Marston working a Nottingham service, if the headcode panel is to be believed, on 26 March. I can only assume that it was a replacement for an unavailable sprinter and was definitely not an ECS train as there were many passengers visible on board. Peter Tandy.
T324 M53055 + M59603 + M53101 on the approaches of New Street 7-4-93. Kevin Dowd.
