Nuneaton 20 April 1980. Despite having "Special" as a destination, this three-car class 116 diesel set is heading to a fairly normal destination in the form of Coventry. The formation of set TS513 at this time was 50120/59013/50077, a formation it held from 1969 to 1983. Jeremy Chapter.
The non-too common sight of a Tyseley allocated Derby built Class 116 Suburban three-car DMU (M53120, M59442 & M53077) at Bamber Bridge with a Colne to Preston service on August 3rd 1985. With its Tyseley Depot board in the cab window (TS513), it would appear that the unit had been temporarily allocated to Newton Heath Depot to cover a shortage of DMU sets. Martyn Hilbert.
Longbridge station on 14 June 1986 has on the right 53120 leading away from the station on the Cross City Line to Lichfield City. The Class 121 DTS in use as a centre car is presumably 54284, the Class 116 DMBS on the rear should be 53077, these forming set TS513. A sister unit is in the down platform with a train for Redditch, the other end of the line. Peter Tandy.

Class 116/115/116 set T513 (presumably 53120 + 59650 + 53077) runs past Stratford-upon-Avon East signalbox on 7 September 1987. The train was working the 14.10 to the terminus from Birmingham Moor Street. Peter Tandy.
This picture was taken on 29 June 1988 when I was scoping out a few locations for shots of steam workings on a weekend of intensive specials between Tyseley and Stratford-upon-Avon. The train is a Birmingham Moor Street to Stratford formed of class 116 TS513 (presumably 53120 + 59650 + 53077 - although their withdrawal pre-date the image!). Henley station can just be made out in the background and it appears that the leading cab of the unit has taken a bit of a clout in the recent past. Peter Tandy.

Tyseley Class 116 DMU set TY532 departs from Leamington Spa station with an E.C.S. from what was thought to be the 13:00 from Birmingham Moor Street on 7 May 1977. The power cars are M50121 and M50079, the centre car is presumably M59351. Robert Thomas.

A Tyseley 116 unit (TY532, presumably 50121 59351 50079) has just arrived from Four Oaks at the developing station at Longbridge on 27/10/1978. It is running across the main lines to achieve its platform for return. Stephen Burdett.
