A class 120 3 car dmu working 2J52 12.30 (Suns) Dundee to Edinburgh makes it's way up the grade to Lochmuir in central Fife on 12th October 1986. A hotchpotch of multiple unit types had replaced the loco hauled services for the 1986/87 timetable with inevitable results. Beyond it lie the villages of Newton of Falkland and Falkland itself. The former station (out of shot to the left) lay some distance from it's intended destination. Ryanair would approve. Bruce Galloway.
