For a big and bustling station Crewe had it's quiet corners. Slumbering in a bay platform is class 120 53729 which, according to my notes, had been working a football special, it was a set from the Derby - Crewe services so perhaps it was a local affair. As ever with Crewe station mail bag trolleys are scattered everywhere. Geoff Dowling.

Swindon Cross-Country and a BRC&W DMUs stabled at Leicester. DMBC 50730 still has a W prefix so this was probably taken soon after transfer from Bristol to Derby in May 1969. Graham Clark.
