On 12th April 1985, just a month before withdrawal on the outskirts of Skipton is a Swindon Cross-Country class 120 dmu set, comprising of cars M51575 + M59581 + M51584, which has either worked in over the Settle & Carlisle line or the Little North Western from Lancaster. These units were not common along here, this is the only time I think I saw one, it's certainly the only photogragh I have of one along here! Andrew J Crowther.
One of the stylish and well-appointed Swindon Class 120 'Cross-Country' DMU's was stabled between duties in Croft Street Sidings at Preston on February 22nd 1986. The Newton Heath allocated three-car set was formed of cars M51575, M59581 & M51584 and had been transferred from the Western Region in 1982. Martyn Hilbert.

Class 120 51575 is seen at Peterborough on 24.02.1987 after it's passenger carrying days were over and it had been taken over by the Parcels department. It is presumably paired with 53739, these are believed to be the only pair of this type to have the yellow/read stripes applied. Andy Cole.
